autofs is a daemon which automatically mounts filesystems when you use them, and unmounts them later when
you are not using them. This can include network filesystems, CD-ROMs, floppies, and so forth.

Fixed bugs:
With slow servers or with many active mounts, the autofs init script could sometimes time out waiting for
the automount daemon to exit and would report a shutdown failure. This has been fixed by increasing the
amount of time the init scritpt waits for the daemon.
Previously, autofs would try to download the entire LDAP map at startup. This has been fixed.
Fixed a faulty logic test that caused automout to report false positive failures when checking the
validity of a mount location.
Automount sometimes used excessive CPU resources when trying to access invalid or non-existent keys. This
has been fixed.
Update the auto.master(5) man page with the -t, --timeout option in the FORMAT options section.
Enhancement:
It is now possible to to configure separate timeout values for individual direct map entries in the
autofs master map.
