"The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the
AXSA:2013-550:05 advisory.
The kernel package contains the Linux kernel (vmlinuz), the core of any Linux operating system. The kernel
handles the basic functions of the operating system: memory allocation, process allocation, device input
and output, etc.
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2013-0153
The AMD IOMMU support in Xen 4.2.x, 4.1.x, 3.3, and other versions, when using AMD-Vi for PCI passthrough,
uses the same interrupt remapping table for the host and all guests, which allows guests to cause a denial
of service by injecting an interrupt into other guests.
Fixed bugs:
Fixed NFSv4 clients returning the -ENOTDIR error when a process is opening a file over NFSv4
Previously, the xdr routines in NFSv2 and NFSv3 conditionally updated the res->count variable. After a
short NFS read() call, read retry attempts could fail to update the res->count variable and truncated read
data were returned. This has been fixed, the res->count variableis udpated unconditionally.
Previously, the IPMI driver used two different locks for an IPMI request. If two IPMI clients sent their
requests simultaneously, each request could receive one of the lock and wait for the second lock to become
available. This led to a deadlock situation and the system became unresponsive. This has been fixed.
Fixed the locking around the cl_state_owners list which could cause th NFSv4 client to become
unresponsive.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
