"The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the
AXSA:2012-1033:01 advisory.
nspluginwrapper makes it possible to use Netscape 4 compatible plugins compiled for x86_64 into Mozilla
for another architecture, e.g. x86_64.
This package consists in: * npviewer: the plugin viewer * npwrapper.so: the browser-side plugin *
nspluginplayer: stand-alone NPAPI plugin player * mozilla-plugin-config: a tool to manage plugins
installation and update
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2011-2486
nspluginwrapper before 1.4.4 does not properly provide access to NPNVprivateModeBool variable settings,
which could prevent Firefox plugins from determining if they should run in Private Browsing mode and allow
remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions, as demonstrated using Flash.
Fixed bugs:
Implemented a workaround so that Firefox can display PDF files properly when using the Adobe Reader web
browser plug-in provided by the acroread-plugin package on a 64-bit system.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
