"The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the
AXSA:2010-131:01 advisory.
This package provides the kvm kernel modules built for the Linux kernel.
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2010-0297
Buffer overflow in the usb_host_handle_control function in the USB passthrough handling implementation in
usb-linux.c in QEMU before 0.11.1 allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (guest OS crash or
hang) or possibly execute arbitrary code on the host OS via a crafted USB packet.
CVE-2010-0298
The x86 emulator in KVM 83 does not use the Current Privilege Level (CPL) and I/O Privilege Level (IOPL)
in determining the memory access available to CPL3 code, which allows guest OS users to cause a denial of
service (guest OS crash) or gain privileges on the guest OS by leveraging access to a (1) IO port or (2)
MMIO region, a related issue to CVE-2010-0306.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
