"The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the
AXSA:2009-28:01 advisory.
Libsoup is an HTTP library implementation in C. It was originally part of a SOAP (Simple Object Access
Protocol) implementation called Soup, but the SOAP and non-SOAP parts have now been split into separate
packages.
libsoup uses the Glib main loop and is designed to work well with GTK applications. This enables GNOME
applications to access HTTP servers on the network in a completely asynchronous fashion, very similar to
the Gtk+ programming model (a synchronous operation mode is also supported for those who want it).
Fixed bugs:
CVE-2009-0585
Integer overflow in the soup_base64_encode function in soup-misc.c in libsoup 2.x.x before 2.2.x, and 2.x
before 2.24, allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long string that is
converted to a base64 representation.
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
