"According to the versions of the binutils package installed, the EulerOS Virtualization installation on the remote host
is affected by the following vulnerabilities :
Assertion fail in the display_debug_names() function in binutils/dwarf.c may lead to program crash and
denial of service.(CVE-2022-38126)
zlib through 1.2.12 has a heap-based buffer over-read or buffer overflow in inflate in inflate.c via a
large gzip header extra field. NOTE: only applications that call inflateGetHeader are affected. Some
common applications bundle the affected zlib source code but may be unable to call inflateGetHeader (e.g.,
see the nodejs/node reference).(CVE-2022-37434)
zlib before 1.2.12 allows memory corruption when deflating (i.e., when compressing) if the input has many
distant matches.(CVE-2018-25032)
An illegal memory access flaw was found in the binutils package. Parsing an ELF file containing corrupt
symbol version information may result in a denial of service. This issue is the result of an incomplete
fix for CVE-2020-16599.(CVE-2022-4285)
Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS Virtualization binutils security
advisory.
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version
number.");
