"The version of ISC BIND installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a
vulnerability as referenced in the cve-2026-3104 advisory.

  - A specially crafted domain can be used to cause a memory leak in a BIND resolver simply by querying this
domain. If a BIND resolver is asked to query a specially crafted domain, memory will not be recovered by
named . This can cause unbounded growth of Resident Set Size (RSS) memory, which may lead to an out-of-
memory condition. Additionally, named will exit with an assertion failure if a shutdown or reload is
attempted. - Authoritative services are believed to be unaffected by this vulnerability but it is
    important to read: https://kb.isc.org/docs/why-does-my-authoritative-server-make-recursive-queries
