Summary

This security update resolves vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Office file. To learn more about these vulnerabilities, see the following security advisories:

Improvements and fixes

This security update contains the following fixes for SharePoint Server 2016:

  • Fixes an issue in which Active Directory (AD) objects can’t be imported.
  • Fixes issues in the Traditional Chinese word breaker to make sure that input year string that have a prefix such as “西元/公元” can be broken correctly.
  • Fixes an issue in which users cannot open the InfoPath forms that are available in the form library.
    This security update contains a fix for the following nonsecurity issue in Project Server 2016:
  • Buttons on the Tasks ribbon tab are disabled for the tasks that are listed beyond the first page.
