DarkSide ransomware used in Colonial Pipeline attack. Originated in Russia/Ukraine, used by Carbon Spider. Ransomware-as-a-Service model. Version 2.1 has VoIP feature. Capable of targeting VMWare ESXi vulnerabilities. Human-operated, demands $2M USD, encrypts files with Salsa20 and RSA-1024. Posts stolen data on DarkSide Leaks site.
