Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in some Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (RST) software may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is releasing software updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

Description: Uncontrolled search path in some Intel® RST software before versions 16.8.5.1014.5, 17.11.3.1010.2, 18.7.6.1011.2 and 19.5.2.1049.5 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.

Recommendation:

Intel recommends updating Intel® RST software to the latest versions.
