Summary:

A potential security vulnerability in the Intel® Solid State Drive (SSD) Toolbox may allow escalation of privilege.** **Intel is not releasing updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability and has replaced it with the Intel® Memory and Storage (MAS) Tool.

Description: Incorrect default permissions in installer for the Intel® SSD Toolbox versions before 2/9/2021 may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
