**DESCRIPTION:**The Git client could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by the failure to validate messages received from a Git server. By persuading a victim to connect to a malicious git server, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to disrupt a user’s terminal configuration and execute arbitrary commands on the system.
