DESCRIPTION:** SSL/TLS protocol is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when processing ALERT packets during a SSL handshake. By sending specially-crafted packets, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to stop responding.

Remediation/Fixes

Fix is available in versions 7.0.0.17, 7.1.0.14, 7.2.0.11, 7.5.0.5, 7.5.1.4, 7.5.2.2. Refer to APAR IT18793 for URLs to download the fix.

You should verify applying this fix does not cause any compatibility issues.

For DataPower customers using versions 6.x and earlier versions, IBM recommends upgrading to a fixed, supported version/release/platform of the product.
