**Description:**HTML documentation generated by the Javadoc tool contains a security vulnerability. The vulnerability allows an attacker to craft a malicious link to the documentation which injects arbitrary content into the main frame. The injected content appears to originate from the site hosting the documentation, but in fact it is hosted elsewhere, and may contain malicious links or content. This type of attack is known as “clickjacking”.

The attack does not require authentication and may be exploited remotely if the html page is network available, but some degree of specialized knowledge and techniques are required. An exploit would not impact the confidentiality of information or the availability of the system, but data integrity could be compromised.

IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest can optionally install Javadoc for the CM Server component. This is installed by selecting the “CM Library Samples and Documentation” feature from the Installation Manager for ClearCase or ClearQuest. The Javadoc is located in a file called teamapi.zip in your ClearCase or ClearQuest product installation directory.

If you have not installed the CM Library Samples and Documentation feature, you do not have the teamapi.zip file on your system, and this bulletin does not apply to your ClearQuest or ClearCase installation.

Workarounds and Mitigations

Workaround:
Remove the IBM Rational ClearCase or ClearQuest teamapi.zip file by using the Installation Manager to deselect theCM Library Samples and Documentation feature.

Note: Only use the Installation Manager to remove this zip file, so that future upgrades do not get errors. The Installation Manager keeps track of files that it has installed, and expects them to be there for upgrades.

If you have unzipped this file and placed its contents elsewhere, then delete those unzipped files.
