Summary

IBM Watson Speech Services Cartridge for IBM Cloud Pak for Data is vulnerable to a denial of service in Google Protocol Buffers, caused by a NULL pointer dereference when a null char is present in a proto symbol (CVE-2021-22570). Google Protocol Buffers (protobuf) are included as part of the runtimes in our service. This vulnerabilitiy has been addressed. Please read the details for remediation below.

**DESCRIPTION:**Google Protocol Buffers is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a NULL pointer dereference when a null char is present in a proto symbol. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.
