Summary

Jackson-databind is used by IBM Operations Analytics Predictive Insights. IBM Operations Analytics Predictive Insights has addressed the applicable CVEs. Note that the usage of Jackson Databind within IBM Operations Analytics Predictive Insights is limited to the REST Mediation utility. If you do not have this utility installed you are not affected by this bulletin, otherwise apply the recommended remediation fixes.

Vulnerability Details

CVEID:CVE-2020-14061
**DESCRIPTION:**FasterXML jackson-databind could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an unsafe deserialization in oracle.jms.AQjmsQueueConnectionFactory, oracle.jms.AQjmsXATopicConnectionFactory, oracle.jms.AQjmsTopicConnectionFactory, oracle.jms.AQjmsXAQueueConnectionFactory, and oracle.jms.AQjmsXAConnectionFactory (aka weblogic/oracle-aqjms). By sending specially-crafted input, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
CVSS Base score: 9.8
CVSS Temporal Score: See: https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/183424 for the current score.
