DESCRIPTION:** Glibc could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a vulnerability that allows specially crafted LD_LIBRARY_PATH values to manipulate the heap/stack. By using specially-crafted crafted LD_LIBRARY_PATH values, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to trigger a stack memory allocation flaw and execute arbitrary code on the system.

IBM SONAS
The product is affected when running a code releases 1.5.0.0 to 1.5.2.6
A fix for these issues is in version 1.5.2.7 of IBM SONAS. Customers running an affected version of SONAS should upgrade to 1.5.2.7 or a later version, so that the fix gets applied.

Once updates have been applied, any process using glibc will need to be restarted. During upgrade, system nodes of IBM SONAS are rebooted.
