This bulletin addresses several security vulnerabilities.

OpenSSL vulnerabilities were disclosed by the OpenSSL Project. OpenSSL is used by IBM Cognos Controller. IBM Cognos Controller has addressed the applicable CVEs.

There are multiple vulnerabilities in IBM® Runtime Environment Java™ Technology Edition, Version 7 and the IBM® Runtime Environment Java™ Technology Edition, Version 8 that are used by IBM Cognos Controller. These issues were disclosed as part of the IBM Java SDK updates in January 2017.
