SSL vulnerabilities were disclosed on June 11, 2015 by the OpenSSL Project. IBM DataPower Gateways has addressed the applicable CVEs.

DESCRIPTION:** OpenSSL is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when processing an ECParameters structure over a specially crafted binary polynomial field. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to enter into an infinite loop.

Note that CVE-2015-1788 only affects IBM DataPower Gateways Crypto objects in version 7.2.0.0, and not earlier versions. Affected Products and Versions

IBM DataPower Gateways appliances all versions through 6.0.0.15, 6.0.1.11, 7.0.0.8, 7.1.0.5, 7.2.0.0

Remediation/Fixes

Fix is available in versions 6.0.0.16, 6.0.1.12, 7.0.0.9, 7.1.0.6, 7.2.0.1. Refer to APAR IT10104 for URLs to download the fix.

You should verify applying this fix does not cause any compatibility issues.
