DESCRIPTION:

A vulnerability in the IBM DB2 products listed below could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability exists in the Fast Communications Manager (FCM) which is used for communication between different nodes in a Partitioned database and between members in a pureScale configuration. A single node configuration is not vulnerable.

AFFECTED PLATFORMS:

The following IBM DB2 V10.1 and V10.5 editions running on AIX, Linux, HP, Solaris and Windows are affected:

IBM® DB2® Enterprise Server Edition
IBM® DB2® Advanced Enterprise Server Edition

The vulnerability is not applicable to DB2 releases before V10.1.

REMEDIATION:
The recommended solution is to apply the appropriate fix for this vulnerability.

The fix for this vulnerability is available for download for DB2 and DB2 Connect release V10.1 FP3 and V10.5 FP3.
