Remote code execution (RCE)
What is Remote code execution (RCE)
The term refers to any vulnerability that exposes a target computer system to control over its functionality. In essence, RCE means that a remote attacker may execute arbitrary commands on a vulnerable server. By executing these commands, they have full access to the server's resources including memory, files, network connections, etc.
