What is Common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE)
A source of information about software vulnerabilities. Vulnerability is a weakness in a computer program that could allow someone to gain access to sensitive data or cause its damage. There are many types of vulnerabilities including buffer overflow, SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), etc.
CVEs are published monthly by NVD (National Vulnerability Database).
