Package : xorg-server CVE ID : CVE-2017-10971 CVE-2017-10972 Debian Bug : 867492

Two security issues have been discovered in the X.org X server, which may lead to privilege escalation or an information leak.

For the oldstable distribution (jessie), these problems have been fixed in version 2:1.16.4-1+deb8u1.

For the stable distribution (stretch), these problems have been fixed in version 2:1.19.2-1+deb9u1. Setups running root-less X are not affected.

For the testing distribution (buster), these problems have been fixed in version 2:1.19.3-2.

For the unstable distribution (sid), these problems have been fixed in version 2:1.19.3-2.

We recommend that you upgrade your xorg-server packages.
