A path traversal vulnerability exists in Joomla! versions 3.0.0 through 3.10.6 and 4.0.0 through 4.1.0, which stems from a failure of a web system or product to properly filter special elements in a resource or file path, and can be exploited by remote attackers to send specially crafted .zip archive to a Web application and write the file outside of the expected path.
