E2fsprogs is a set of tools for maintaining ext2, ext3 and ext4 file systems. version 1.46.5 of E2fsprogs is vulnerable due to an out-of-bounds read-write issue in the application. An attacker could use this vulnerability to cause a segmentation error and execute arbitrary code via a specially crafted file system.
