Wireshark Input Validation Error Vulnerability (CNVD-2022-11206)

Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) is a set of network packet analysis software from the Wireshark team. The software’s function is to intercept network packets and display detailed data for analysis.Wireshark suffers from an input validation error vulnerability that stems from insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the DNP profiler, which could be exploited by a remote attacker to pass specially designed input to an application and perform a denial-of-service attack.
