Wireshark Input Validation Error Vulnerability (CNVD-2022-11203)

Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) is a set of network packet analysis software from the Wireshark team. The software’s function is to intercept network packets and display detailed data for analysis.Wireshark is vulnerable to an input validation error, which exists due to insufficient validation in the IEEE 802.11 profiler. A remote attacker could exploit the vulnerability to be able to send specially crafted packets through the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
