Apache OpenOffice-memory corruption vulnerability

Apache OpenOffice is an open source office software suite from the Apache Foundation. The suite contains text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, databases, etc. A security vulnerability exists in Apache OpenOffice, which stems from a networked system or product that does not properly validate data boundaries when performing operations on memory, resulting in incorrect read and write operations being performed to other memory locations associated with it. An attacker could use this vulnerability to cause a buffer overflow or heap overflow, among other things.
