Apache OpenOffice Access Control Error Vulnerability

Apache OpenOffice is an open source office software suite from the Apache (Apache) Foundation. The suite contains text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, databases, etc. An access control error vulnerability exists in Apache OpenOffice version 4.1.8, which stems from the fact that the DEB package is not installed using root, but instead uses user IDs and group IDs with an identifier of 500. A local attacker with the same identifier could exploit this vulnerability to elevate privileges on the system privileges on the system.
