Summary

  • Cisco Security has detected significant activity related to French-language spam email messages that claim to contain a payment request notification for the recipient. The text in the email message attempts to convince the recipient to open the attachment and view the details. However, the .zip attachment contains a malicious .exe file that, when executed, attempts to infect the system with malicious code.

The_ Avis_de_Paiement.exe _file in the _Avis_de_Paiement.zip _attachment has a file size of 24,064 bytes. The MD5 checksum, which is a unique identifier of the executable, is the following string: 0x035BF5440B85F3A1CF42DFA92227197B
