Carriers see security as a vital part of their strategies and expect to increase spending in 2018. Subscribers are willing to pay 20% more for security. Akamai offers easy to deploy network-based security solutions. Endpoint security products have low uptake as subscribers don't install them. The security market is estimated at $5B for consumers and $6B for endpoints.
